McGuinness Media & Marketing is hiring an Account Supervisor for their Warwick, RI office. We are actively searching for a highly motivated, strategic, detail-oriented and proactive Account Supervisor to assist and manage client engagements and is responsible for overall client satisfaction, quality of service, and on-time, on-budget completion of creative projects.

This position is responsible for organizing, tracking, and coordinating all client related work and processes for client projects as well as internal projects. Training will be provided on company best practices and client/account coordination. Daily tasks may include client communication, status meetings, timeline building, routing work for review/approval, proofreading creative and/or trafficking artwork to appropriate outlets and more. You will be responsible for creating projects within the internal project management system, providing deadlines, tracking projects, and assigning tasks across the design team. Most importantly, you will work with internal team members and clients to deliver the results in a timely manner. This position reports directly to the Managing Director.

Job requirements & duties

  • Primarily, this person will work directly with clients, the other Client Service team members and the Managing Director on a project-by-project basis; manage project plans in collaboration with internal and external teams; adjusting project scope and schedules accordingly
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of client’s attributes, marketing objectives, target audience, competitive environment and market dynamics
  • Partners with the internal account, media and creative team to develop/maintain timelines, deadlines and guidelines for all campaigns through our project management system
  • Creates and writes creative briefs as needed
  • Create, assign, and manage task completion using productivity tools like Freedcamp and Slack
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies. Evaluate current processes, identify, and implement improvements. Update leadership on project status and key metrics. Long term goal of creating a Job Numbering system
  • Must have strong client-facing presentation, verbal and written skills
  • Maintains agency/vendor relationships through communication and meetings; sourcing new vendors/quoting
  • Demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and multi-task to enhance productivity and manage workload
  • Efficiently and effectively interacts with appropriate agency executives and staff
  • Entrepreneurial minded with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at a time
  • Attention to Detail – Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • Cooperation – Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.

Entry Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Journalism preferred
  • Minimum (3) years of relevant experience in project management, advertising and/or marketing role (agency experience a plus!)
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful client engagements
  • Knowledge of proofing client work/quality assurance process is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Experience with project management software (Freedcamp preferred)
  • Deep understanding of project management, workflow and infrastructure
  • Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently. Need strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to multi-task, balance numerous and diverse operations, as well as possess the ability to work well with all levels of employees and management
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to foster client, vendor, and internal relations
