Seeking a Multi-Media / Graphic Designer

Compensation: Based on Experience

MCGUINNESS MEDIA & MARKETING is hiring a Graphic Designer / Multi-Media Designer for their Warwick, RI office. We are actively searching for an experienced, strategic and proactive Designer to help build and maintain positive, lasting client relationships based on effectively achieving client’s marketing objectives. This position is responsible for designing and producing marketing communications for a wide variety of client projects. Most importantly, you work with internal team members, clients and other designers to deliver the client results in a timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES

• Working closely with the Account Director and Media Supervisor, this person will produce print, outdoor and digital marketing communications for a wide variety of projects
• Successful project management from inception to completion within respective timelines
• Full utilization of creative new marketing mediums and relevant cutting-edge practices
• Design and layout of materials (including print ads, billboards, brochures, emails and web layout, invitations, post cards, logo designs, banners, posters and signage)
• Collaboration – effective project management with outside vendors / customers
• Attend assigned internal/external meetings and assist in other marketing activities as needed
• Possess a thorough understanding of client’s attributes, marketing objectives, target audience, competitive environment and market dynamics
• Partner with the Account team to develop/maintain timelines, deadlines and guidelines for all campaigns
• Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task to enhance productivity and manage workload
• Efficiently and effectively interacting with appropriate agency executives and staff
• Attention to Detail – Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
• Cooperation – Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude

• Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of production, media, and other collateral for approval
• Experience processing, managing and tracking jobs with print vendors

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a graphic designer in interactive and graphic design and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Expert in related software programs – Adobe Creative Suite; (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as well as digital asset management and electronic file preparation for production
• Experience in PremierPro and After Effects STRONGLY preferred
• Experience in HTML & WordPress STRONGLY preferred
• Fluency in current graphic design and web production software
• Demonstrated conceptual skills to include managing creative from concept to completion
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong work ethic with a “hands-on” management style and experience in fostering productive relationships, internal and external
• Strong organization and prioritization skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to multi-task, balance numerous and diverse operations, as well as possess the ability to work well with all levels of employees and management.

Seeking a Media Planner / Buyer

MCGUINNESS MEDIA & MARKETING is hiring a Media Planner / Buyer for their Warwick, RI office. Candidates should have a minimum of 2+ years of media planning and buying experience and experience with multiple types of media channels.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES

• 2-4 years’ experience (minimum) in media planning/buying OR agency-side project management (strategy or account services, only with sufficient working knowledge of media planning and buying)
• Working closely with the Account Director and Media Supervisor, this person will be a primary lead on assigned accounts, responsible for communication with clients, managing their on-going needs, meeting expectations, maintaining/tracking budgets, requesting research data and proposals, etc.
• Strategic plan development and written recommendations for clients with varying media objectives and needs
• Possess a thorough understanding of client’s attributes, marketing objectives, target audience, competitive environment and market dynamics
• Partner with the creative team to develop/maintain timelines, deadlines and guidelines for all campaigns
• Maintain agency/vendor relationships through communication and meetings
• Analysis of media performance relative to clients’ success, including post-buy analysis, evaluation of website analytics data, correlation to client sales/conversion data and other key success metrics
•Organic and paid search strategy, implementation, performance evaluation, maintenance and optimization
• Print, TV, radio, out-of-home and non-traditional media placement and management in various markets
• Management of all placements with media vendors for assigned projects; including negotiation, insertion orders, makegoods and invoice reconciliation
• Frequent evaluation of media opportunities as they arise
• Maintenance of all related files and information pertinent to account assignments
• Add job orders to agency’s task management system as needed
• Daily tasks may include updating media budgets and obtaining/coding invoices, proofreading creative and/or trafficking artwork to appropriate outlets
• Math skills and ability to “tell a story” through data

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Journalism preferred
• Minimum (2) to (4) years of relevant experience in account management, advertising and/or marketing role (agency experience a big plus!)
• Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently. Need strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure
• Professional verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to multi-task, balance numerous and diverse operations, as well as possess the ability to work well with all levels of employees and management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
