Seeking Design Interns!

Compensation: College Credit Employment
Type: Part-time Hours: 15-20 hours/week. Must be available during business hours (Monday – Friday between 8:30am and 5pm) Flexible with days/times but set weekly schedule/hours required.

MCGUINNESS MEDIA & MARKETING is seeking a Design Intern for their Warwick, RI office. We are actively searching for a talented, creative and proactive designer to join our team! This position will be responsible for designing and producing marketing communications for a wide variety of client projects as well as internal projects. Most importantly, you’ll work with internal team members, clients and other designers to deliver the client results in a timely manner. This position will be part-time (15-20 hours/week) with potential for full-time employment by Spring/Summer 2019. Must be available to work with the design team during standard business hours at our Warwick office on Post Road. Potential for internship to transition into entry level position for a soon-to-be college grad!


• Design and produce print, outdoor and digital marketing communications for a wide variety of projects and clients.
• Successful project management from inception to completion within respective timelines.
• Design and layout of materials (including print ads, brochures, emails and web layout, invitations, post cards, logo designs, banners, posters and signage).
• Attend assigned internal/external meetings and assist in other marketing activities as needed.
• Partner with the Account team to develop/maintain timelines, deadlines and guidelines for all campaigns.
• Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task to enhance productivity and manage workload.
• Efficiently and effectively interacting with appropriate agency executives and staff.
• Attention to Detail – Position requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Cooperation – Position requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.

• Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of production, media, and other collateral for approval.
• Experience processing, managing and tracking jobs with print vendors.


• Soon-to-be graduate majoring in graphic or multi-media design.
• Proficient in related software programs – Adobe Creative Suite; (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as well as digital asset management and preparation of print-ready files.
• Experience in HTML & WordPress preferred
• Ability to use both MAC and PC
• Demonstrated conceptual skills to include managing creative from concept to completion
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organization and prioritization skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to multi-task, balance numerous and diverse operations, as well as possess the ability to work well with all levels of employees and management.
